Hi guys.
Can you tell me where can I post an idea for a plug-in developers?
I have a very nice workflow-enchancing idea but no time to do it by myself.
If its ok to do it here tell me and I’ll expand or please point me to the right place. Thanks for any help in advance.

Please read this post: https://community.notepad-plus-plus.org/topic/15741/faq-desk-feature-request-or-bug-report

NO. That link is not for anything to do with plugins, other than the few trivial plugins that ship with Notepad++ !!

There is no “one official location” for posting plugin ideas. This is as good a place as any.
Unfortunately, in all the suggestions I’ve seen for plugins, I cannot recall ever having one be implemented by anyone other than the original suggester. My personal mental framework / justification for this is that people who have the skillset to develop plugins usually have their own “pet” plugins that take their time and energy, and have no time or energy left to devote to developing a plugin “on spec” (for someone else) for free. In the world of developing plugins for Free and Open Source Software, there’s not much funding available (~$0) for paying someone to develop a plugin (unless you’re willing to pony up the cash), and not many customers willing to pay for a non-free plugin for a free application.
That said, don’t let this discourage you from posting your idea. It may be that the idea is so great, it will grab a plugin developer’s eye, and he’ll snag it as his next pet project.

Thanks PeterJones for a tip and in-depth explanation.
I’ll post the idea soon on the forum then.Cheers!

Err… Sorry, but the link reads:
If your new feature request or bug report is really for a plugin, your best bet is the specific plugin’s GitHub Issues (or equivalent).
Apart from providing some other valuable information on bug-reporting and feature-requesting that I thought will be useful to a fellow user.
P.S. “As a new user, you can only post once every 1200 second(s) until you have earned 0 reputation”. Apparently that post deserved -1 and now I can post once in 20 hours. Great.

When I said:

Let’s be (hopefully) really clear:
This link:
https://github.com/notepad-plus-plus/notepad-plus-plus/issues
is not for anything related to plugins, except the few plugins that ship with Notepad++.This core advice holds true:
If your new feature request or bug report is really for a plugin, your best bet is the specific plugin’s GitHub Issues (or equivalent).Apparently that post deserved -1 and now I can post once in 20 hours. Great.
Sorry; I’ll reverse that.
I downvoted because I didn’t want future readers flooding the wrong issues list with plugin requests.
(In theory, if you see a downvoted posting, you don’t tend to follow the advice it provides). -
I also upvoted a couple of your other postings, as a concilliatory gesture. :-)
(Because I believe anyone is a bit restricted until they have a reputation score >=2 ) -

For future reference, 1200 seconds is 20 minutes, not 20 hours. So if you have zero or lower reputation, you can only post every 20minutes instead of once per minute like a user with positive reputation, which is a useful way to prevent spammers from being able to continuously spam until an admin has been able to freeze their accounts.
You are obviously not a spammer, and it seems your reputation has stabilized to a positive value, which I think accurately reflects the quality and quantity of your questions and answers here. Continue trying to be helpful and asking good questions, and your reputation should generally increase, even if some voters find one or two of your responses less helpful.

…rightfully pointing at the lack of attention on my side…

Hey, we all have to start somewhere. It seems like now my profile is back from the “underground” category and I can post freely.
Thanks @PeterJones & @Alan-Kilborn.
