Replacing with \n on a large file get the Notepad++ application hang

Well, that I said in the subject. I work with large flat files (1 MB) or so. And every time I try to split the files by replacing specific characters with \n the whole application gets hang. I don’t recall when it has started… But this wasn’t happing on old versions. Do you guys are experiencing the same problem? Or is that the technology/computer hates me (and I know she hates me)? xD

how do you replace it? Can you give us a screenshot from your
replace dialog? In addition, can you post the debug info from the last menu, the?menu?
