To rename files or directories in Total Commander
use the Multi-Rename Tool and such a pattern, e.g.Polish letters:
Search for: ą|ć|ę|ł|ń|ó|ś|ź|ż
Replace with: a|c|e|l|n|o|s|z|zmąkę -> make
How to do this in the text?
It must be very simple, I just don’t know something.
-
Here’s a shorter example:
find
(ą)|(ć)|(ę)
repl(?1a)(?2c)(?3e)
Obviously, extend the patterning to do as many as you need.
Regular expression mode, of course. -

I already know.
It works in Notepad, I also have another editor
and it doesn’t work there.

I also have another editor
and it doesn’t work there.Of course not. Whether you call yourself @Thomas-Olivier or @Olivier-Thomas or @Thomas-2020 or @Pan-Jan , this is still a Notepad++ forum, and any regex answers we give will be Notepad++ answers; we do not guarantee that our regex will work in any other software, and we do not support other editors here. If you want to know how to do something specific in some editor that is not Notepad++, ask in that editor’s forum.
PLEASE STOP
Don’t hide behind new accounts!
By the way, if @Thomas-Olivier is one or more of those users that I’ve mentioned, you have been told repeatedly to pick one account and use it; hiding behind different usernames or accounts as your account’s reputation grows more negative is frowned upon or forbidden in every forum I’ve ever used.

I am not hiding, but I cannot log in
via Facebook. It took me 2 hours.
I’m already furious. I will try again
but is it worth it? I already have a 20-minute break there.
Are you always so suspicious and distrustful?@ Thomas-Olivier lub @ Olivier-Thomas lub @ Thomas-2020 lub @ Pan-Jan ,
These were all rehearsals, you can see how much it was and how long it must have taken me some time. -
I am sorry you have problems logging in. It seems to be a common problem for you; however, I don’t hear complaints from many other people not being able to log in using the various providers the forum offers. Given you have so much difficulty logging in, I highly recommend that once you get into your actual account, that you link it to multiple providers (facebook, twitter, google, and/or github) – that way, if you cannot log in with one, you can log in to the same account with another. (I have my account associated with both GitHub and Google, and I have proven that logging in with either will access this same account. It’s really easy to do: click on your icon, Edit Profile, then on the single sign on services section, click on the “click here to associate with…”; after it’s linked, then all those single sign-on providers you linked will all access the same, single account.)
Furthermore, your login difficulties don’t change the fact that this is a Notepad++ forum. The answers given already in this discussion do work in Notepad++. If they don’t work in your other editor, that is a good reason to use Notepad++ rather than the other editor. If you don’t like that advice, then you can go ask your question in a forum devoted to your other editor, or in a forum devoted to regular expressions. This forum was, is, and will continue to be a place to discuss Notepad++, and any answers to questions in this forum will assume that person asking the question is actually using Notepad++.
Are you always so suspicious and distrustful?
Not always; in fact, hardly ever. Only when you show up, asking regex questions in a Notepad++ forum, then asking us to give an answer that works in some other editor.
If you have Notepad++ questions, feel free to ask them here. If you have Notepad++ discussion, feel free to discuss it here. If you have questions or discussions on another editor, ask it in a forum for the other editor, not here. It’s really as simple as that.
If you need this translated into another language to understand what’s been told you many times, please let me know.

Only when you show up
That was overly specific (directed at you as an individual). In actuality, I get upset when anyone shows up, asks a regex question in this Notepad++ forum, then demands a different answer because they are really using some other editor rather than Notepad++. It just so happens that recently, you are the most frequent culprit. I am sure there are other similar situations of abusing this forum which also upset me; I just cannot give an example right now.
But, in general, I do my best to stay calm and answer people’s Notepad++ questions to the best of my ability, because I really enjoy the Notepad++ editor, and this is one way I can give back (since I don’t really have the skillset to volunteer for deep codebase changes).
And, in specific, I try not to reply to your posts, except in cases where I am calling out behavior that is not considered polite in this online community (new accounts, off-topic posts asking about different editors), to avoid the appearance of attacking you.
As long as you keep your posts on the topic of Notepad++, and are polite and show a willingness to learn, and don’t keep creating new accounts because of login problems on your end, I have no problem with you continuing to post on-topic discussion, and I will try to leave you alone.

This is the first time that I see a translation of someone else’s text.
Really good, the only place where it needs to be improved would be to replace Redakteur with Texteditor.Apart from that, I am 100% of your opinion.

I log in via Facebook. Facebook wrote that there was suspicious traffic on my account
and I need to enter my date of birth to verify my account or call xxx.
Who gives the real date of birth on Facebook? I didn’t remember what I wrote a few years ago.
I’ve never used Facebook, but sites like Notepad enforce a certain affiliation.
Google login is „Pan Jan” (Mr. John). Once I got upset during registration (several tries) and I wrote such a login…@PeterJones, I am impressed
the Polish translation is excellent.
Probably someone who knows Polish had to help.
If you say it’s a translator, please write this text in English.
If Google Translator translates dot to dot for me as you wrote in Polish, I’ll believe it.I would like my English from Google Translator to be the same.
And if I could write in Polish, I would be in cloud nine.
I know I’m exaggerating. It is a pity that the Help Notepad ++ website is not in Polish.
I use three text editors. When I ask about Regexp here, I don’t care if it’s a Notepad ++ site.
There are RegExp specialists here, whom I appreciate for their knowledge and I think that maybe I can find a solution here
which I will adopt elsewhere. I don’t think it’s a sin.
RegExp is not owned by Notepad. A Chinese Catholic will also be a Catholic.
This is my point of view, but I respect the second opinion.
In Poland there is a joke “about the gardener’s dog”, but this is an idiom and I do not undertake to explain it.My mistake is that I am too honest and wrote about another editor.
I see the world a bit differently … if I can, I will help.
Proposal. Better to hide some things. It’s better this way.
Well, that’s life.@PeterJones, does this “@ Thomas-Olivier or @ Olivier-Thomas” mean I’m hiding?
Probably more like: @ Thomas-2020, but I’m also using my last name here.
I spent a few hours trying to login in a different way.
I’ve tried a dozen different sillier logins.
Better not to mention how much nerve I have lost.I swear I will never mention that I want to try the answers from here elsewhere.
Because I think that’s the point.I have written so much … who will understand all this translation.

RegExp is not owned by Notepad. If you ask a regex question here, and someone attempts to answer it (I will pay closer attention to who is asking in the future, and if it appears to be you I probably won’t answer), it will be answered from the perspective of Notepad++.
So your goal won’t be achieved.
Presuming your goal is to make a regex operation succeed the way you want in another editor.
Take my very first answer above; I gave the Notepad++ answer.
You responded with your “other editor” babble.
Did anyone come along and answer in that “other editor” context?
No.
Why?
Well, probably nobody reading it has detailed regex experience outside of N++, so they couldn’t answer.
Or, and more likely, they, unlike you, respect that this is a Notepad++ forum, and don’t want to annoy people with off-topic stuff. -

I see the world a bit differently … if I can, I will help.
Which is what I said I do (and what I actually do). But sometimes the best way to help someone is to direct you to a better place to get help. If you want Notepad++ help, here is the best place to get it. If you want help with a different texteditor application, here is not the right place; rather, finding a forum for the other texteditor is the best thing to do.
If Google Translator translates
I didn’t say I used Google Translator for that. I used deepl.com, which gave the Polish translation that I said it did, excepting that I saw it used the same word “pytania” for both the English “question” and the English “discussion” in the first two sentences, but used “pytania lub dyskusje” in the third sentence, so I assumed that I could copy/paste “dyskusje” overtop the second “pytania” to make it clear that those two sentences had slightly different meanings; and I replaced “Notatnika++” with “Notepad++”, because I don’t think application names need to be translated. Here’s a screenshot of deepl’s translation; you can try it yourself.
When I ask about Regexp here, I don’t care if it’s a Notepad ++ site.
Your abuse of the forum doesn’t change the subject of the forum.
You have been given all the advice you need in order to participate in discussions here. If you choose to ignore that advice, you will be treated accordingly.
With that, I am done arguing with you or otherwise responding to you. If you create another new account sometime, I will call it out, so that other users will understand who it is that they are responding to, but other than that, I will go back to not replying to you, in any of your versions, because all that ever happens between us is arguing, and that doesn’t help anyone.
Keep the discussion about Notepad++, or ask your questions elsewhere. It’s still that simple.

Are you not ashamed of it?However, I am tempted to write about this parable about „the gardener’s dog”.
He himself won’t eat … but he won’t let anyone else either.
You don’t have to write back, I don’t expect a reasonable answer.
You can take 120 out of a 20-minute break.Greetings.
