Notepad++ v 7.9.2 ignores "Print Line Number" preference

Notepad++ v 7.9.2 ignores the “Print Line Number” preference setting when printing a text file. I have disabled the option so that it will not print the line numbers but the setting is ignored and it still prints the line number at the start of the line.
