    How do I change file tab's font name and size ?

        The tab size can be toggled using the “Reduce” setting on Settings > Preferences > General > Tab Bar:

        But I think you probably wanted more control over the font than the toggle gives you. The font name for that text is not user-configurable inside Notepad++.

        I believe it may be influenced by Windows theme settings – I think there are some font settings buried deep in Windows configuration for things like the title bar and menus, but I don’t remember where those settings are or what exactly they are called.

          If it is influenced by the Windows settings, then on Windows 10 the changes must be done in registry (was removed from control panel since previous Windows version).
          Have a look at:

          which outlines the method. This is not something to be taken lightly as there’s no fail-safe as would be available when it is run through a GUI.

          PS I haven’t tested this yet as my company dislikes these sorts of changes done by users.
