Hello, @antonio-rosciano, and All,

Since the v7.9.1 release of Notepad++ :

• If focus is on the Search Result panel, simply hit the Esc key

• If focus is on the editor window, hit the F7 key, first, to move focus on the Search Result panel. Then, hit the Esc key !

I presume I know why, in your post you refer to version 7.9.1. I have 7.9 (32 bits).

However, note that the latest version of N++, as of February 26, 2021, is version 7.9.3 ! !
