Hello, @antonio-rosciano, and All,

Since the v7.9.1 release of Notepad++ :

If focus is on the Search Result panel, simply hit the Esc key
If focus is on the editor window, hit the F7 key, first, to move focus on the Search Result panel. Then, hit the Esc key !

I presume I know why, in your post you refer to version 7.9.1. I have 7.9 (32 bits).

However, note that the latest version of N++, as of February 26, 2021, is version 7.9.3 ! !
