      Hi

      I need to type unicode characters in the editor. I found this page https://community.notepad-plus-plus.org/topic/17775/how-to-quick-insert-unicode-characters-in-notepad and that works fine till number hex: ffff
      At the moment I try the next number hex 10000 it won’t work. :(

      I look up the characters on https://www.janr.be/unicode.php

        @Jan-Schaak ,

        Getting U+10000 or higher isn’t easy in Notepad++. I think if you search for posts by @guy038 mentioning BMP (Basic Multilingual Plane)… I think that’s what you need.

        Or possibly you can just copy/paste the character from your Unicode lookup page.

        (Also, your selected don’t in Notepad++ must support the glyph for it to render)

          Wow that was fast :) Thanks.

          Your option to use the copy/paste is the reason that I added the field/textbox. So I already do that, but it will be easyer is it is possible in Windows everywhere. I think it is a bug in Windows and not something that’s only np++.

          What do you mean with your last line? (English is not my first language.)

            Peter confused us all with this, but after a moment of pondering I think his last line was supposed to be:

            (Also, your selected font in Notepad++ must support the glyph for it to render)

              @Alan-Kilborn ,

              You are correct. I was posting from my phone and didn’t notice that autocorrect changed “font” to “don’t”. Sorry.
