    Is it possible to add a hyphenated word, such as Wi-Fi, to the Hunspell or user dictionary?

    Notepad++ V7.9.5 64 bit, W10, English Hunspell dictionary

      It would seem so. Under “Plugins” main menu, select the "DSpellCheck menu item, then Setings. Assuming you have Hunspell dictionary (as your post suggests), go to the Advanced tab and insert a - in the field near top. It should already contain "_. This appears to allow the dictionary to identify wi-fi as a single word which it will underline (default action when checking). Right click and you will be able to add that word to the dictionary.
