When I change font Japanese shows sideways

I want to change font from default, so japanese text will display nicer. but changing to a japanese system font, it doesn’t display as normal left to right. but on its side. even a japanese person would be confused. its like taking this text and turning your monitor on its side. How can i fix this. is it only use boring fonts

its possible that font’s i tried have issues, i tried another nice looking font and has no issues.
