      I noticed that my notepad with 2 open text tabs gives ± 22%Usage of my I5 3210M

      Standard windows notepad uses maximum 2%.

      What reason?

      Thanks.

        What reason?

        Hard to say. It could be an anomaly, or a plugin that is misbehaving, or an undetected problem that Npp has, or …

          @Guilherme-Gueringh ,

          What is your Notepad++ version?
          Had Find in Files operation been running in Notepad++ by any chance while you were checking the CPU usage?
          Some other activity inside Notepad++ or it was completely idle?

              @Guilherme-Gueringh ,

              Do you have your periodic session backup turned on?
              If yes, could you please try disabling it and see if the CPU usage is still high?
              Can you also check the CPU usage when you disable your network connectivity (all of it - Ethernet cable and WiFi)?
