Compare Plugin isn't working

For some reason, I can’t get the compare tool to work. I’ve tried reinstalling it and using the github version, and every time I try to use it NP++ crashes. Does anyone have any ideas?

The Compare plugin was not compatible with Notepad++ v8.3 when v8.2.2 was in development. But the v2.0.2 release here should work with v8.3
In fact, it does work for me:
On the other hand, if you’re using a Notepad++ version before v8.2.2 (that is, v8.2.1 or earlier), then you should download the Compare v2.0.1 release, as the newest version of the plugin will not work on older versions of Notepad++.
There was a change in Notepad++ 8.2.2/8.3 that affected a certain plugin call, and any plugin that uses that call will have the same problem, and you’ll need a different version of the plugin to work on 8.2.1+earlier vs. 8.2.2+later
