Zooming with mousewheel not working

I was using a 2017-ish Dell XPS and the zoom shortcut (Ctrl + mousewheel up and down) was working fine. I recently got a 2021 Dell XPS and am running the latest version of Notepad++ but the shortcut is no longer working. If I use the mousewheel while holding down Ctrl, Notepad++ acts as though Ctrl is not being depressed–it merely scrolls up and down the page.
