      Hi, I put a link to Notepad++ in my SendTo folder which is a really great thing: I often have to check a bunch of Files in one go, i. e. find an expression in one of the open files.
      So till this morning I only had to highlight the files and select SendTo Notepad++ and in an instance I got hold of all the files within Notepad++
      Now all of a sudden that solution stopped working, when selecting SendTo Notepad++ nothing happens. But the link itself seems to be ok, when I open the SendTo folder and doubleclick the link, Notepad++ opens right away. Any ideas how to solve that issue? Thks.

        @susanne-senger ,

        I don’t normally use SendTo, but on my Windows 10 machine, I just tried adding a Notepad++ shortcut to the SendTo folder, and when I do the RightClick > Send To > Notepad++, it properly opens the file in Notepad++.

        There’s nothing special about the shortcut setup: it’s just a normal shortcut to Notepad++. Maybe you just need to go delete your old shortcut and create a new one. (Maybe something behind the scenes got corrupted, so the OS isn’t doing the right thing.) Or maybe just a reboot will fix things.

        You also mentioned “a bunch of files”. Depending on how long the paths to those files are, you may be running across a character limit – I know that the “verbs” have a character limit for the total length of the executable path plus all the arguments sent to it, and I would assume that SendTo does at well. So does it work to SendTo one file to Notepad++?

        I will point out that with Windows 11, just like the old “verb” style actions, Windows 11 has hidden the SendTo menu behind the Right Click > Show more options entry (which you can access with Shift+F10, if I remember correctly) – but since you still have the SendTo menu to click, I doubt it was the change to Windows 11 that is your problem.

          @peterjones The problem is not only the SendTo folder, if I highlight some files (up to 8) , right click the selected items and select “Edit with Notepad++” it has the same effect - none!

            @susanne-senger said in Notepad++ link in SendTo Folder does not work any more:

            if I highlight some files (up to 8)

            Did you try with just ONE file? Does that work?
            (refer to Peter’s post where he says You also mentioned “a bunch of files”… which you clearly didn’t read…)
