      I had Elastic Tabstops installed, and it’s been missing from my installed plugins for at least the last few weeks. It also doesn’t seem to be in the plugin admin available list, and I haven’t been able to find anything about its status in Notepad++. Is there something I need to/can do to get it back?

      Debug info:

      Notepad++ v8.3.3   (64-bit)
      Build time : Mar 13 2022 - 17:20:02
      Path : C:\Program Files\Notepad++\notepad++.exe
      Command Line :
      Admin mode : OFF
      Local Conf mode : OFF
      Cloud Config : OFF
      OS Name : Windows 10 Enterprise (64-bit)
      OS Version : 2009
      OS Build : 19044.1706
      Current ANSI codepage : 1252
      Plugins : CodeAlignmentNpp.dll ComparePlugin.dll CSVLint.dll IndentByFold.dll jN.dll mimeTools.dll NppConverter.dll NppExport.dll urlPlugin.dll XMLTools.dll

        @steven-brown ,

        Elastic Tabstops has not released a version that is compatible with Notepad++ v8.3-and-newer, so Notepad++ disables the known-incompatible plugin in the new version.

        There is a bug report issue with ElasticTabstops repo. Looking at their commit history, Dail appears to be actively working on getting through the last checks and releasing a new version.

        You can watch the releases page for the new version, and when it’s released, you can download the new version, exit Notepad++, overwrite C:\Program Files\Notepad++\Plugins\ElasticTabstops\ElasticTabstops.dll, and re-run Notepad++, and you will have the newer version when.

          @Steven-Brown ,
          I release a new version 1.5 for Elastic Tabstops completely rewritten (from Dailey version), optimized and providing many new features: https://community.notepad-plus-plus.org/topic/23843/new-version-1-5-for-elastic-tabstops .
          You can download the plugin (https://github.com/mariusv-github/ElasticTabstops/releases), unzip and install it using “Import plugin(s)” option from a recent version of NPP like 8.4.7.
