Word-wrap crashes TextFx in npp 8.4 and newer

I upgraded from npp 8.3.3 to 8.4.2 today and am getting a plugin crash when I try to wrap text in a plain text file.
The crash pop-up is:
| PluginManager::runPluginCommand Exception
| Access violation
Once I click [ok] on the pop-up npp is still working though the cursor is now a blue spinning circle.
The text was not wrapped.I’m wrapping using a keyboard shortcut, Ctrl-Shift-W, which activates NppTextFx.dll 139
TextFX / TextFX Edit / ReWrap text to (Clipboard or 72) widthI reverted to older versions and discovered that 8.4, 8.4.1, and 8.4.2 are all broken.
I’m back to 8.3.3 which works.

Nope, it is not Notepad++ that is broken. It’s the plugin.
