Word-wrap crashes TextFx in npp 8.4 and newer

I upgraded from npp 8.3.3 to 8.4.2 today and am getting a plugin crash when I try to wrap text in a plain text file.

The crash pop-up is:
| PluginManager::runPluginCommand Exception
| Access violation
Once I click [ok] on the pop-up npp is still working though the cursor is now a blue spinning circle.
The text was not wrapped.

I’m wrapping using a keyboard shortcut, Ctrl-Shift-W, which activates NppTextFx.dll 139
TextFX / TextFX Edit / ReWrap text to (Clipboard or 72) width

I reverted to older versions and discovered that 8.4, 8.4.1, and 8.4.2 are all broken.

I’m back to 8.3.3 which works.

Nope, it is not Notepad++ that is broken. It’s the plugin.
