Hi, previously I found a way to set the default save as type to all types (.) But when I moved to a new computer it defaults to .txt I’m on version v8.4.4 and Windows 11

I searched this group and found two posts, one that said check the box Default>Directory>Use New Style ( but I don’t have this as an option) another said that save as all types would be the default starting after 7.9 (I think).

Hopefully, this is an easy setting that I’m just missing in my search.

    Thanks for your help.

This is all outdated information (it happens).

So if I do SaveAs with 8.4.4, I see:

Unticking the Append extension checkbox I see:

and that choice is remembered. So… just untick that checkbox and you should be good to go.
