    Hi

    Is it possible to create a UDL for a number based logfile by using regex filter? I couldn’t find anything on the UDL doc.

      @Manolo-Müller-Menendez ,

      No, the code behind UDL does not recognize regular expression syntax. Sorry.

      The plugin EnhanceAnyLexer will allow you to change the foreground color of text based on regular expressions, and it can be used to enhance either builtin lexers (like the C++ and Python lexers) or enhance specific UDL languages.

      So you can define the bulk of the UDL in the normal UDL interface, and then the tricky stuff (regex) can be handled by EnhanceAnyLexer.

        BTW: the AnalysePlugin was designed specifically to find and pull out specific text in logfiles using multiple regular expressions. You might want to check it out.
