notepad was reloaded by night and opened but closed all opened tabs

Hi,
2 days notepad was reloaded by night and opened but closed all opened tabs before.
Please help it is critical for my work have opened many tabs every day.
my OS details - Windows 10 with latest updates.

Presumably, either windows crashed or had an update-and-reboot, and didn’t shut down Notepad++ properly.

Your %AppData%\Notepad++\backup folder might still contain the temporary periodic-backup files for the unsaved files. If the crash wasn’t too catastrophic, then you should be able to open those.

I then recommend saving all files to a known location with an official filename, and using the Save button or keystroke more often (or set up the AutoSave plugin to save for you, without you having to remember to hit save). More on backup options can be found in our backup FAQ.

@PeterJones Hi, thank you very much i added Autosave plugin and all works good. But i remember i already added this plugin earlier, but i do not know how this plugin was removed.
