      I’ve been using Notepad++ for many years (thank you so much), and just recently upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 11. I noticed straight away that restarting Windows hangs because Notepad++ is preventing it by popping up a dialog box asking if I want to save all my documents.

      This popup doesn’t appear if I close Notepad++, it closes silently and when I reopen all my documents, saved, new or modified are all there exactly as they were before I closed it.

      The popup only appears when I restart/shutdown Windows while Notepad++ is open with unsaved changes. I didn’t want to tick the Always Yes button to save changes, because I don’t want to save changes, I want to save state.

        @Daryl-Vine

        See HERE for more information on this topic.

        To QUOTE the developers, “Already fixed, will be in the next N++ version” (presumably meaning 8.4.8).
