WinGUp for Notepad++ is the updater of Notepad++, delivered with the installer:
https://github.com/notepad-plus-plus/wingup/It displayed the messages concerning updating in English by default, but these messages can be translated.
Update existent or add new translation in:
https://github.com/notepad-plus-plus/wingup/tree/master/src/translations
by using English localization file for the translation:How to test your translation:
Rename your translation file tonativeLang.xml
and put it beside ofGUP.exe
, which is localized inYOUR_NOTEPAD++_INSTALLATION_DIR\updater\
(for exampleC:\Program Files\Notepad++\updater\

Hi
on my current version 8.4.8, 64 bit, German, there is the file “c:\Program Files\Notepad++\updater\nativeLang.xml” from September 2021. It contains German translation, but the “About” dialogue displays only English.Now I copied the current German translation from Github to my “nativeLang.xml”, and now the updater displays German message.
Is this intended? Or is there a wrong file in the setup package?
Regards
