    Deleted a temporary new file, can I restore it?

      I closed the new file without saving important data, is there any way to restore it?

        in %AppData%\Notepad++\backup\ is no file :(

          @Ciferblood ,

          If you didn’t have “remember session snapshot and periodic backup” option on, then it would have asked you if you wanted to save. If you said no, then Notepad++ obeyed your explicit desires.

          If you had that option on, it would have kept a copy of your unsaved file in that directory (unless you had configured it to be elsewhere), so I’m assuming it was off.

            It should be mentioned that this is true only for the “Main” instance (TheFirstOne in the npp source code) of npp.
