      Hi,

What about an option in “large file restrictions” performance settings to disable reopening the tabs containing large files, after notepad++ exit.
If I have a couple of large files opened in notepad++ and I close the application, upon reopening notepad++, I have to wait until all the files are reloaded which is really annoying for a great app that notepad++ is.

      Thanks,
      Bogdan

That would probably be a useful option. We cannot implement it in the Community Forum, but the “Feature Request and Bug Report” FAQ you see at the top of the FAQ section explains where Feature Requests need to go.

FWIW it sounds like regular Notepad++ contributor xomx has indicated interest in the more general problem of lazy loading of files in Notepad++. If they succeeded in implementing lazy loading, such a setting would (probably) be unnecessary.
