On this special occasion of the 20th-Year Anniversary, I want to thank the people in the community: Notepad++ wouldn’t be what it is without you, and I enjoy every moment of working with you.
Here in the U.S. it is Thanksgiving Day where a custom as we sit around a huge dinner spread is for each person to say what they are thankful for.
I am thankful for this community of experts and newbies alike offering me answers to my tough questions and affording me opportunities to answer others.
I am thankful my earned knowledge and experience has enabled me to provide some contributions here and some minor ones to the Notepad++ codebase itself.
Mostly, I am thankful for @donho creating and sticking with Notepad++ for 20 years - simply amazing how far this dates back - pre-Github, pre-open-source being so accepted as mainstream software. Notepad++ is my “daily-driver” for work and personal software development. I’ve tried others but keep ending up back at the OG of Windows power editors!
Here’s to another 20 years!
