How do I disable highlighting of parenthesis?

Whenever I press “shift”+“9” I get a highlighted parenthesis. Is there any way to make it not highlighted? I use notepad++ as a text editor only.

Settings - Style Configurator - Global Styles - Brace highlight style.

Is there any way to disable it other than by changing the colors?

Would Preferences → Auto-Completion → Auto-Insert solve the problem you’re seeing?
