Is there a way to disable sounds?

I have version 8.6.2 (64 bit) and, although I’ve searched under Preferences, I can’t find a way to disable sounds. I would just prefer to maintain silence while using the program rather than having it notify me auditorily when for example I’ve done a search and reached the end of the responsive results or accidentally selected “Reload from Disk” from the drop down menu under File when I was just trying to save the document. I hope my inquiry is clear. All I want to accomplish is to disable that annoying tone which seems to be the default of the program … if there is way to do so. Any guidance would be appreciated.

Does Settings > Preferences > MISC > Mute All Sounds not work for you?

@PeterJones Thank you very much Peter. Yes, that did the job. I had simply neglected to explore the options available under “MISC.” Indeed that’s where the setting was. My bad. I appreciate your help Brother. Be well.
