The setting Save previous session should be more precise

The setting Save previous session should be more precise. For example, I don’t need to open last files, but I want to have a cursor on last position in any file I open once again. And last search should work by F3.
Also F3 is not working when in find window, I must press Enter (in Synwrite, for example, it works).
Notepad++ is great and powerfull editor, but others are more comfortable some times.

setting Save previous session
There’s such a setting?

That violates the concept of “session” because once a file is closed it is no longer part of the session. Is it realistic to retain “last position” for any file ever opened (probably not).

And it does (unless we’re still talking about sessions and closed files that are opened at some later point).

This is correct. Things like F3 (i.e., shortcuts while in editing tabs) don’t work in other windows/dialogs.

But soon:
Notepad++ 8.6.6 will allow F3 and Shift+F3 to work while the Find or Replace windows have input focus.
