Search Window no longer opens

The search window ought to open with all matches when searching through entire files.
I have un-purposely undocked the search window, and not I no longer can make it re-appear.
I have tried:
- uninstall and re-installation of the program
- searching for open windows not visible on screen (CMD + Space --> M)
Can somebody help?

You may try the following:
- Close NPP if it is running
- In Windows Explorer, navigate to
%APPDATA%\Notepad++ - Open
config.xmlnot using NPP. Windows Notepad will do - Near the bottom of the file you will find a tag
<GUIConfig name="DockingManager"...</GUIConfig>. Remove the tag and its subtags - Save the file
- Restart NPP
Now if you start a search, the search results window should appear docked at the bottom again.
