Autodetect spaces or tabs in a file

Is there any option in “Settings” to detect automatically if tabs or spaces are used for indentation in a file so that when user presses Tab-button on keyboard the symbol Tab is typed, or four spaces if spaces are used in this particular file?

Nope. There is no autodetection. Whether spaces or tab characters are used is solely a function of the setting selected for it for the particular language (based on extension) of the file.
