List with self created code snipets
-
Hi, I miss a list with self created code snippets with tags and end tags. Via click a snippet the code can place at PenPos or over selected text.
Exemply I was using it in Weaverslave. The very fine editor does no mor run under windows 11. It is very helpful for fast working. Wasn’t find it no more. Perhaps in the npp community someone wants to create it? -
I personally use the QuickText plugin for code snippet insertion. I think that will do what you want

QuickText plugin
No, thanks. QuickText is a popup above the edit field wiht all html tags. When it was one time used it closes.
If the wanted plugin is startet, I permanently see my snppets list. At first the list is empty. I can create tags, classes, entries or whatever. Can change, replace, edit, delete. Only so it where be a strong helper for hi speed working.
But now after delating all plugins i’ve seen, what the poor npp does. When I type text in the edit field, a popup shows all tags, which are pass to my given letters at each writing word. Why does ist so? I don’t write code. I write text. Something is wrong. How can I fix the problem?

Wrong. You have misunderstood something.
Unfortunately, I am not able to figure out a way to help you, based on your latest information, so I will stand aside, and let someone else try.
Good luck.

Many thanks for trying. I hope, someone can and wants to create a solid snippets list ffor self entries.
Now I’ve seen thr ground for my last written problem. The auto completion I must deactivate.

@Raff-Zahn,
You might want to look at the Snippets plugin. It allows you to create, insert…etc. Your English makes it hard to help you otherwise, and autocomplete should have nothing to do with putting in code snippets, unless your bad english is trying to say you can’t get AutoComplete to recognize the language you’re using which will be another can of worms to work out. Some clarification is needed, if you’re able. Get a better translator. -
My ancient Oxford English is very bad? I actually have a poor understanding of US English here in the forum. So I have to use a translator. Thanks for the tip.
Actually, it’s not QuickText but the Snippets plugin that’s right for me. It’s much more elegant than Panel in the old Weaverslave.
As a docking popup it’s OK. I expand the left editor margin to the maximum, make the snippets quite narrow, use very short tag names, put the line numbers and the margin in the snippets. So it’s almost perfect.Thank you for help. I’m already happy with the npp. Must see, Donate is mandatory.
