Grouping tabs and group renaming.

Recently Firefox is adding a new feature to its browser.
This feature was on my mind as a requirement for my personal projects, but never had the chance to request it for Notepad++ (I’m not taking credit of what Firefox is doing I’m just stating that this is a mere coincidence.)
Is it possible to add this feature to Notepad++?
I.e. Group some tabs and rename such grous as desired, and allow me to access them from a list (or a preview of them) when clicking on the group name.
Thanks in advance.

@DemianMedina
Seems like Folder as Workspace or Project Panels could help. Neither does exactly what you want, but maybe one or both is close enough.I don’t use either feature, so if you have follow-up questions that aren’t answered by the linked documentation, you’ll have to wait for someone else to chime in.

This has been an open request for a few years now. There’s nothing we fellow Notepad++ users in the Community forum can do to add it for you. Until the developer or a volunteer coder takes an interest in implementing it, there’s not much that can be done. (You could also upvote there, to show that there are still people actively wanting it.)
For workarounds: Aside from what @Mark-Olson mentioned (also mentioned in that open request), there’s also Apply Color to Tab which can apply the same color to multiple tabs (but otherwise doesn’t really help dealing with them all at the same time).

@PeterJones I have also requested it there at https://github.com/notepad-plus-plus/notepad-plus-plus/issues/9517
