About recent security flaws

I always checked npp’s setup file signature by right clicking it and switching to the digital signatures tab. It was always ‘File is signed and OK’. And auto updating was disabled and firewall blocked npp. Am i safe now and any chance of infected by chinise malware? I especially didnt updated npp while npp was using self signed signatures.
I am asking because reinstalling os is painful but i have to if its needed.
I have already done several checks on my os (win11) and seems ok but i know it may be hidden or scheduled.
