[new plugin] AssistantIA alpha 0.0.0.1 looking for feedback
-
Hello everyone,
Here is my very first attempt to build a plugin for Notepad++.
It requires
- windows 10(mini 1809) /11
- Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable
- Notepad++ 64-bit x64
Sorry for other users, i have no idea how to compile it otherwise from my machine. (src are included and also my build.bat compile setup for example)
The idea was to include an AI assistant into notepad++ to test a variety of APIs .
There is a basic chatbox. (ALT+I)
You can also select code and ask (via the contextuelMenu/ALT+Q ) to translate, indent,check the selection or whatever like docBlocks for php functions .
You need to configure the providers you want to use with your own API key. (5 free providers .py files are provided to spend some times testing it)
You can find it here : https://github.com/gcyrillus/AssistantIA and the english helpfile can be found there https://github.com/gcyrillus/AssistantIA/blob/main/english.help.md
It, of course, works fine on my computer and basicly can help , switching from a provider to another and from models , you may try many of them .
Your feedback are welcome , also if you find it usefull.
Regards
p.s. Built assisted with gemini flash-lite/flash/pro free version … it requires to be resilient, AI likes to go nuts! :)

No ideas , I tried AI a couple of months ago cause there were a few that could be tested free and that i needed to improve my arguments about it. So many people talk about it.
Then I Tried openAI a few weeks ago, then pythonScript to test other providers. and finally tried to build this plugin 3 weeks ago for my personnal use. I believe it can be usefull for others Notepad++ users too ;)
I did not notice the arrival of NppAIChat , thanks to point it out.

Are we going to be getting a flood of competing AI-written AI Chatbot plugins for Notepad++?
I can’t wait to see the first N++ AI chatbot plugin written in N++ with a N++ AI chatbot plugin.
