Since 6.8.2 Notepad++ frequently hangs

I use Notepad++ for a long time - with the latest update to 6.8.2 I now get the program to hung after some time – often when I do nothing special. Is there a known regression in this release?
Note that some of the hungs suddenly resolve after several minutes but some other times I just need to kill the program and re-run it.
BTW, I do use the HexEditor forever disabled plugin but it never had any issue. It’s an incredibly useful plugin (especially when trying to figure out character encoding issues).

@Dror-Harari I suggest you removing all plugins to make sure if it’s Notepad++ issue. If it is, then I will try to reproduce the hanging, then fix it.
