How to Show all TODO on Save

I’d like to run the command “find all in current document” and have it Find for all occurences of “TODO:” in the current document so that I have a little quickfix window down below. Recording a MACRO doesn’t work (it’ doesn’t save anything). I looked at the Python scripting thing but I didn’t see an option for calling the Find command.
I know there is a TODO: plugin but it causes my NPP to crash frequently
