      I consistently get this error when launching the program …

      Load config.xml failed!
      Do you want to recover your config.xml?

      Whatever file I was working on is turned into stuff nothing can read so I continually make copies of my files in cases it happens. Any ideas?

      Running this on a laptop, windows 10, but it happened in windows 9 too.

      Thanks for any help.

        I use Notepad++ on my old Windows 2000 since many years and I just get the same load error since a few days. The graphics look cheaper now but it seems to work normally otherwise. It still remembers the files I was working on. What can be causing the load problem?

          I uninstalled and reinstalled the program and the problem seems solved. Other issues were also solved.
