Function List - What happened?
-
So to start, I am coming from 4.8.2. It used to have LISP as a supported language. I recently upgraded now nothing. So NP++ went to a UDL, so you can assign your own languages for the function list, but I can’t seem to get that to work at all? Other than the online help, can anyone help me get this language to work with the function list like it used to? I am losing my mind, why is it no longer supported?
Thanks to anyone who can help with this. Also maybe there should be a forum for user defined languages?

Where you possibly using a plugin before? It wasn’t until v6.4 that Notepad++ had it’s own internal version of a function list.
-
Yeah, I was using the Function list plugin. Now that appears to be all internal? I have to use 4.8 off of a thumbdrive in order to use the function list.
Wish the UDL was easier to decipher?

Don’t quote me on this but I don’t believe it has to use a UDL at all. I’ve never tried it but looking at this page kind of looks like it can be added to any built-in language.

I’m using version 6.7.9.2 of NP++ and don’t see an internal version of the function list. I use the plugin following the instructions to manually install: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/15983315/is-there-a-function-list-plugin-for-notepad-6-2-3

@Peter-Brand Does it not show up under
View -> Function List
? It does for me using v6.7.7 -
This is what I was looking for. I used the plugin forever, then when I installed the new version on my new machine I noticed a function list was “built-in”. It does not work apparently.
This works exactly as it used to. Thanks Peter.
It does not. It shows up: Plugins>Function List. You can actually have both the plugin and the built in list open together.
