How to redock search results on the bottom of the Windows

Hi all,
I have Windows 10. I have my search results window undocked. Now when I double click the hearder, it docks at the top the window instead of the bottom. Dragging it to the bottom does not cause the window to dock. How can I reset so that the search results are at the bottom of the opened file window?

Is your main Notepad++ windows maximized? I’ve noticed that the Windows 10 Taskbar will overlap the bottom edge of a maximized window. Perhaps that’s what’s happening and the drop target for your search panel drag is hidden?

Thank you for the reply Jon Oliver. My Notepad++ window is not maximized. I can even move the search results window past the edge of the Notepad++ window…still no joy. It’s very annoying. I may have to remove and reinstall.

Ah ha! I figured it out. Turns out it’s the upper edge of the results window that must be over the dock target. I was trying to do it with the bottom edge. Thanks Jon Oliver!! Your response led me to the answer. I appreciate you!.
