ComparePlugin crashes on Notepad++ 8.2.2 test builds

I see you here sometimes and since I use the Compare Plugin a lot, I’m hoping we can get a quick fix. I opened an issue on the repo, but it seems the fix is rather easy - just update 2 Scintilla header files and recompile.

It fixes the crash for me in my short quick testing. See more here.

It crashed on the ver 8.3.1
I switched back to 8.2.1 and the Compare is working again.

Have you used the latest compare version? (2.0.2)
Seems to work for me.

ComparePlugin (x64) crashes on “NP++ 8.4.1 Minimal Portable”. I have no issue before that. Comparing 2 simple text files (list of 30 items) then crashes…

Any help?!

How about your full Debug Info from the ‘?’ menu?

Do you have the latest version of Compare Plugin from menu Plugins => Plugins Admin, Updates tab. You should be running 2.0.2 for Notepad++ > 8.3.

In that case, you should open an issue on the issue page of the plugin. Provide as much detail as possible including the Notepad++ debug info you provided above and the plugin version you are using.
