      This just started happening. Whenever I print, the background is black. I have changed print settings in NotePad++ (B/W. WSIWYG, etc) and so far nothing fixes it. I reset my Brother Laser printer to factory defaults and that did not change the problem. I tried printing with other apps (Word, Chrome, Visual Studio, Paint, and others) and they all print correctly (no black background). I have been using Notepad++ for many years and not had this problem. Thanks.

        @David-Fawcett

        Read about it here: NEW CHANGE HISTORY FEATURE.
        See the PRINTING section at the bottom.
        In short, you are on v8.4.6 and printing problems are resolved in v8.4.7.

          Yes that fixed it. I thought I had just done a recent update and had the latest version (but times flies). I read the article and I understand what was happening. I was not aware of this web site before, and now that I know about it , I will make sure to consult it before posting any more problems (should there even be any). This is the first problem I have had in the entire time using Notepad++ (10- 15 yrs )
          Thank you Alan Kilborn.
