"There is no disk in the drive" start up message
-
On starting Notepad++ I always get a “There is no disk in the drive…” pop up which takes a few button presses before the program will start. Could someone please tell me if/how I can stop the program searching for “\Device\Harddisk2\DR2” on startup?
Thanks for any help.

Hello Alan Wadsworth,
this message comes from the NT Volume Manager if I remember correctly.
And this means, that npp might be the trigger for this message but maybe not the program
which caused it. So, this cannot be easily answered.
Do you have further information likewhich drive letter is assigned to \Device\Harddisk2\DR2? (Disc Management)
How was npp installed? Or portable?
Using a stick? Which OS? etc.
As much infos as possible may help to find the root of the cause.Cheers

Hello Alan,
May be, the links, below, will give you some hints about it and also the solution ! If, so, give us a short report of your actions. It may be useful for some other N++ users :-)
