Exception WM_CREATE

Hello.

Have used NotePad++ for years.
It’s great.

Since yesterday, it will no longer open

A small window open saying that there is an Exception WM_Create

Any ideas?

did you update anti-virus, firewall or any other safe-guard application recently?

Thanks for answering. Yes, I updated Avast. I tried turning Avast off, still no luck.

still thinking that it might be related to the AVAST update.
Could you try uninstall AVAST, reboot machine and restest?
