I’m getting this message when trying to edit and save any new file with notepad++. This only happens with Notepad++, not with other editors.

      So,

      • Create new text file - edit and save with Notepad++: Error
      • Create new text file - edit and save with wordpad, notepad, whatever, then edit and save with Notepad++: No error

File location doesn’t matter, root of drive, desktop, network share, etc.

This is a new computer where Notepad++ hasn’t been used before. Version is 7.4 64-bit, OS is Windows 7 64-bit.

Any ideas? I found a somewhat similar issue in https://notepad-plus-plus.org/community/topic/11746/failed-to-save-file-not-enough-space-on-disk

Looks like it’s already been fixed in 7.4.1!
