“Monospace font” traduit en français, quel est le meilleur : “police à chasse fixe” ou “police à espacement fixe” ?

Yea, not really going further than a couple of clicks for translations here, when English is the standard. But I fully get that this truly is a question about which is correct in a different language, so it’s ok to ask in that language, I guess. :-)

English is international, but not standard. Non English speakers do the effort to speak the language you do understand, without you doing the effort to understand their language.

So It’s ok to ask in every language, but if people wanna get more reply, use English, that’s just a simple fact. Not mentioning it’s “Translation” section - every language here should be tolerant.

                    @Ekopalypse

                    Je viens de faire traduire
“Monospace font” traduit en français, quel est le meilleur : “police à chasse fixe” ou “police à espacement fixe” ?
de français vers anglais via Google translation. Le résultat est suivant:
“Monospace font” translated into French, which is better: “fixed font” or “fixed font”?
                    :D

OK pour “police à chasse fixe” je pense. Ca sers à rien de perdre le temps pour cette petite détaille.

:-D then I guess you want to use fixed font :-D

English is international, but not standard.

                      I’d disagree with that.
In IT, English is the standard language.
There is no way around it and it needs this standard,
because otherwise a lively exchange is hardly imaginable.
Maybe in the future when AI translating gets better an better there is no need
anymore but now, I guess it still is.

Of course every post in another language is tolerated and sometimes even answered in that language, but to make it accessible to ALL,
a translation into English is inevitable, hence standard.
                      My two cents :-)

                        Not mentioning it’s “Translation” section

I don’t know about others, but I don’t really pay attention to the “sections” on this forum. Well…maybe if there is a posting that is flammatory, I’ll then check to see if it is in the “Boycott” section. :-)

                          HI Guys,

I’ve found one website “Monospace Font Generator” . I hope this may help you.
