    Good day,
    I had to upgrade, and my display settings are lost.
    The old version works with the old settings in the old folder.
    The old version works with the default settings in the backup folder.
    The new version works with the default settings in the old version folder.
    The file “styles.xml” to which the settings dialog refers cannot be found in the old version folder tree.
    = Is this because I have overwritten an installer version with a portable one?
    = What is the way to transfer display settings to the newer version?
    Thank you.

      @Aleksandr-Okunev ,

      In a normal installation, settings are stored in %AppData%\Notepad++\ {🛈 , ↗ }

      In a portable installation, settings are stored in the notepad++ executable’s directory. {↗ }

      When you have the cloud folder setting enabled, some config files move from the standard location to the cloud folder specified.

      A new upgrade or installation overtop an existing normal installation doesn’t usually overwrite your already-existing config files
