      Actually, probably @Ekopalypse didn’t even notice the “channel” was “Boycott N++” – I know I didn’t. I rarely pay attention to the channel info; I just see that there is a new posting (somewhere) and click on my “inbox” to read.

        That chain re the github issue reinforces my point.

        Over-engineered hogwash.

        Go to the place in the code where npp inexplicably saves over the session file immediately after loading files. Remove that call.

        Fixed. You’re welcome.

        If that has crazy unintended consequences, then, again, it only proves my point.

        Follow the single responsibility principle.

        Also, respect users’ files and do not overwrite files without specific direction to do so.

        If a user wishes to save a new session by creating a new session file or overwriting an old file then by all means. They must do this manually now.

        Make “auto” systems automatic only by user control.

        You should appreciate that men in the 1960’s already understood this principle – controls had off, standby, auto, and on for example.

          Can’t tell if you want to rant, or have a meaningful discussion. Maybe you’re on the fence. It’s OK, I won’t bite on continuing, either way.

            • Developer creates a specific forum channel for rants.
            • Guy goes to a channel specifically for rants and reads rants.
            • Guy is triggered by reading rants.
            • Guy is mystified and confused.

            Bad assumption - guy read rss feed and was triggered by Let me add I love npp and I have used it for decades

            I am unsurprised that you would be confused.

            still surprises me

                It is the doom of your generation that you filter your world through an ad hominem fallacy. That is your constant fear and insecurity camouflaged as pride. It has become your religious zeal and defining quality.

                @Alan-Kilborn is the more intelligent.

                A better, more resilient people consider potential insight regardless of the messenger, emotion, and façade.

                  LOL.
                  This stuff is great, and PERFECT for the category.

                    You should simply be ignored. You show no respect for the hard work of so many here, I sincerely hope that they completely ignore your request while you learn to communicate with other people respectfully.

                      @Ekopalypse : HI !

                      I would say this another way : I couldn’t find any proper place to do so …

                      The home-page consists of a list of “subjects”, where whish-list could be the good place for such a “subject” …

                      Best

                        Did you happen to look in one of those “subjects” areas perhaps the FAQ since it might have relevant information. I guess not, but maybe now is the time to read some, especially Feature Request or Bug Report.

                        There is lots of good information within the FAQ and also posted/pinned to the start of most “subjects” areas as well. Unfortunately most “new” members of the forum seem to miss them. I suppose why would be the obvious question?

                        And I suppose english isn’t your first language as it would be wish-list, whish is a sound. But after reading the linked post in the FAQ, you will see that while talking about bugs or features here is helpful, officially those requests need to be made elsewhere to get any possible traction with the developers.

                        Terry
