Issue with Polish letters

@Ekopalypse i was using few fonts like Arial Calibri but on all that i was using the issue is happens.

well i typing normally by keyboard. Not on-screen keyboard,just my main

I just added a Polish keyboard layout and also used my keyboard.
By pressing “ä” and “z” (German keyboard) I got the posted result.
I could not figure out how to get the second z symbol.When typing the letters, does it look like the screenshot you provided?

I see, when using Polish keyboard layout and ANSI encoding like you did, I see a and z only as well. But when using utf8 encoding I see the letters as posted. So maybe convert your files to utf8?
Btw. I pressed “ü” not “z” to get the ż

@Ekopalypse Ye when i try to polish letters i gotta normal without polish symbols. The utf8 fixed issue Thx but for now,when i type its fine but is there any way to fix previous files that could look normal as now?
bcs as u can see now the polish letters are white glowed -
I guess that will be solved by using “convert to utf8” from encoding menu, doesn’t it?

That means, select Windows-1250
and if it looks ok - convert to utf8 - save it - done.

I didn’t follow super-closely, but was there reason to not convert to UTF-8 and then stay with that?

We had to find the right (ansi) encoding first, otherwise the conversion to utf-8 would result in incorrect text.

Run the command
Encoding > Convert to UTF-8-BOM( IMPORTANT ) -
Paste the clipboard contents in that new tab (
Ctrl + V) -
Save this file as
Windows_European_Encodings.txt -
From the first word, not correctly displayed of your
ANSIfile (le¿yin @nightznero’s text ), select the wrong character (¿) -
Open the Find dialog (
Ctrl + F) -
Tick the
March caseand theWrap aroundoptions -
Select the
Normalsearch mode -
Switch back to the
Windows_European_Encodings.txtfile, that we just created -
Click on the
Find Nextbutton
=> The caret should be on the line :
