    Still having the same problem here. I narrowed it down to the config.xml file - deleting that fixed it so that I could save again.     What are your debug info ? Try to remove tours plugins. They are usially the main cause of failure.

    @Steve555 I see what you mean - what comes into my mind is either you make REM unique by adding a char like semicolon, hopefully this is allowed by the compiler, or you make sure that REM is the only UPPERCASE version of the source code and disable IgnoreCase option. Cheers Claudia

    @Freon-Sandoz what do you mean by Now I have no way to sort .txt files and .pl files into separate groups in Windows Explorer the type of file keeps the same, regardless if associated by npp or not. Cheers Claudia

    @Tom-Popowski this reminds about an issue with config files. As you uninstalled, did you delete APPDATA directory as well? If you are using APPDATA configuration of course, maybe you wanna give it a try to rename the %APPDATA%\notepad++ directory and then start npp. Cheers Claudia

    You could use Atom that is open source. The macOS implementation is really good, I cannot say that about the one in Windows.

    offer an option to keep the plugin anyway +1 What I’ve done before to avoid this issue is you can rename your plugin. For example the installer removes DSpellCheck.dll I’ve just renamed it to DSpellCheck2.dll and it never warns me about it again :)
