    Fixed here: https://github.com/notepad-plus-plus/notepad-plus-plus/commit/fcaef73769272be0d0bd5a4d2417bac94c8c8eba It’s not a macro issue but a mutex issue. A new used std mutex has been locked twice which make undefined behaviour: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/16664375/why-locking-a-stdmutex-doesnt-block-the-thread Strangely the old used “Home made” mutex (v7.7.1 and before) had no crash either dead lock - just like it does nothing. Such crash could happen again what I’ve fixed is only for this specific crash.

    @William-Burke Any idea when it might be restored? I don’t think it is going to be. There’s some new documentation underway, but it is very incomplete as of this writing. It is here: https://github.com/notepad-plus-plus/npp-usermanual For the old stuff, you can go here: http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://docs.notepad-plus-plus.org/index.php/Category:Short_Title(All) and click on July 19, 2019. Not sure how long this “web wayback machine” version will remain…

The release procedure is very heavy (it takes time) so once RC is out and there’s no critical issue then tested RC becomes release otherwise we need another cycle to test it. It’s in the stabilization phase so the next version won’t wait too long anyway.

    @donho each merge of PR into npp-usermanual master will update automatically the document site on the fly. So the document site in question cannot be in github.io if we want to have this feature. the github pages jekyll engine renders all md files of a repo on the fly, that’s why we’ve first suggested it, to get the doc up and running as quickly as possible. It’s not so “in-house” yes, it’s not quite in-house, as long as we use the ovh server. but as long as no-one sponsors a datacenter to notepad++ we will not be able to do everything in-house. 😉
